The conference will take place at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto, 252 Bloor Street West
Getting to OISE from Pearson Airport (YYZ)
There are several options available to you in addition to taxi service.
UP Express: Click here for the UP Express webpage. This is an express train service that connects Pearson to Downtown Toronto.
You can take the UPX to the Bloor station, then transfer to the subway. Take the subway eastbound to the St. George stop. You will pay two fares for this journey: one for UPX from the airport, one for the TTC (the subway), to St. George.
You an also take the UPX all the way to its last stop, then transfer to the subway. Take the University line (not the Yonge line) to St. George. You will pay two fares for this journey: one for UPX from the airport, one for the TTC (the subway), to St. George.
TTC: Follow the signs in the airport for TTC. These will direct you to the ground floor/arrivals exits of the airport. There are several TTC buses that go to the airport. Be sure to take the 192 Rocket to Kipling Station. At Kipling, transfer to the subway. Take the subway to St. George. You will pay one fare ($3.25) for this journey. Where there is the convenience of paying just one fare, the journey takes more time than the UPX. Click here for TTC’s website about its airport service.
Getting to OISE from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ)
There are two options available to you in addition to taxi service.
Porter Airlines provides a free shuttle bus service to Union Station. From there, transfer to the University line (not the Yonge line) to St. George.
You can also walk out of the airport and up to the corner of Fleet St. and Bathurst (about a 5-minute walk). You will see the islands for streetcars in the middle of Fleet St. Take the 511 Bathurst service to Bathurst Station. From there, transfer to the subway. Take the subway two stops east, and get off at St. George. This option is a bit faster than the shuttle bus, because the traffic between this airport and Union Station is usually a disaster. But this option requires some walking and a transfer. They both cost the same.
Getting to OISE from Union Station
If arriving by train, transfer to the subway. Take the University line (not the Yonge line) to St. George.
There is a municipal parking lot on the east side of the OISE building, accessible from Bedford Road. There is another, larger municipal parking lot just across Bedford Road, as well.
