We are delighted to announce that applications for Natural Curiosity’s Edward Burtynksy Award for Teaching Excellence in Environmental Education is now open to in-service teachers and early childhood educators across Canada.
Who is eligible?
All nominees should be certified educators, which includes Teachers and Early Childhood Educators, who are currently teaching in an elementary school in Canada. No employee of the Laboratory School at the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study, nor any affiliate of the Norman and Marian Robertson Charitable Foundation is eligible to receive this award.
What does a complete submission include?
- Completed Google Form (both information and written application sections)
When is the submission deadline?
The deadline to apply is Thursday, April 30, 2020.
When will the winners be announced?
The grand prize winner and two-runners up will be contacted in May 2020.
Who judges the submission?
Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges comprised of members of the Environmental Education Committee of the Laboratory School at the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study.
If selected, examples of your exemplary teaching methods may be placed on our website.
