Happy New Year from Dr. Bev Caswell and the Robertson Program for Inquiry-based Teaching in Mathematics and Science!
We have added two new lessons in our mathematics lesson library:
- The Garden Patio Lesson – an early years’ lesson exploring the conservation of area from both a measurement and geometric perspective
- Perspective Taking Lesson – a primary lesson exploring different views (ie. top view, side view, front view) of three-dimensional figures built with interlocking cubes
These lessons were developed by The Robertson Program’s Dr. Joan Moss, an Associate Professor Emerita from OISE/U of T and an expert in early years mathematics education.
Let us know how the lesson goes in your class!
