Graduate Assistant, PhD Student
Madeline hails from Vancouver, British Columbia, where she completed her MA in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. Never a fan of rainwear, she traded her galoshes in for a parka and began her PhD in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE)/University of Toronto in September 2017. Her primary research focus to date has been examining the intersections between technology, mental health, and social support in LGBTQ populations; however, she is excited to be exploring her keen interests in criminal justice and psychology with the Scott Research Lab.
She has an unbridled passion for David Bowie, opera, and ice cream sandwiches (sometimes, but not necessarily, all at once).
