With the recent discovery of Mosasaur fossils in Manitoba (flesh-eating lizard-like sea creatures that swam around western Canada 80 million years ago), this activity kit Discover Fossils (call #CR 560 S613D) will spark or rekindle the curiosity of students in Grades 4 to 7 for these ancient creatures. The activity booklet is filled with fossil activities and challenges along teacher notes that explore the location of fossils and their formation and shows students how to create “trace fossils” similar to dinosaur footprints.
