- The overall focus of the research described on this website is to investigate the engagement of children and youth with science education. Our aim is to improve opportunities for science participation to include individuals who have been marginalized within systems of formal and informal science education. This work includes making explicit, and seeking to better understand, the societal and institutional factors that influence inclusion of children and youth in educational spaces, public debate, and career pathways. We are also concerned about whose voice is heard when planning and preparing science education opportunities for children and youth.
