Spring has (almost!) sprung and summer is just around the corner. The changing seasons are a time of renewal for both the natural world and here at the OISE library. The new seasonal display celebrates two of its namesakes – Spring and Summer – by exhibiting numerous books from our collections that explore various dimensions of these two seasons. These materials include juvenile fiction that explores topics, such as children’s experiences of the seasons, different cultural understandings of the seasons as well as books dedicated to the living world of plants and gardening. Also included in the display are numerous educational resources about the important connections between nature and learning. These books deal with topics ranging from art to science and even includes one on the ‘Edible Schoolyard’ [ CR 635 W329E ].
The Spring and Summer seasonal display can be viewed in the display case next to the elevator on the main floor of the OISE library.
