CTAP Core Team: Coleen Scully-Stewart (LHAE); Sherida Ryan (LHAE); Derek Hunt (EC); Neil Tinker (EC); Tamara Bahr (ACT); Rubaina Khan (PhD candidate; GA); Yufei Zheng (MEd candidate; GA).
CTAP: Connecting Technology & Pedagogy for access, collaboration and engagement in Higher Education. This model has been created by Dr. Drinkwater, based on her 9 years of teaching and course development in synchronous and asynchronous learning environments, at OISE & in cross-institutional courses internationally, using a variety of different educational technology instructional and assessment platforms. Skills and principles can be easily transferred to other and newly emerging platforms!
What: An initial FREE 2-hour Introductory Workshop! Refreshments provided.
** Introduction to CTAP model; Principles of synchronous & asynchronous pedagogy; Capacity-Building and Facilitation Skills; Hands-on experience in a Zoom (virtual) classroom.
** Faculty participating in the workshop will have the opportunity to join the ongoing OISE-CTAP Learning Community (a collaborative virtual learning hub to further develop CTAP skills, share ideas, and provide peer-support).
For Who: The workshop is open to Faculty across Departments at OISE, with ALL levels of experience (newcomers interested in learning more about online and blended learning environments in higher education; those with experience in some forms of online or blended learning; those who are or will be teaching courses in an online or blended learning environment and wish to gain/share new strategies).
When: 2 workshops date/times to choose from:
- Tuesday August 25, 2020 (1-3 pm)
- Thursday August 27, 2020 (3-5 pm)
Where: Joining virtually (more information to follow).
NOTE: All participants must have their own laptop and a set of earbuds (with embedded microphone), and access to high-speed internet.
