Renovations to the Mezzanine Level

We’ve very excited to announce that renovations to the Mezzanine Level of the Library will begin on Monday, November 29th!  This morning (November 26th), a crew removed all furniture from the Mezzanine Level in preparation for Monday’s construction (or rather demolition) activities.

Doors and air vents on the Mezzanine Level will be sealed off to minimize the amount of dust and noise in the rest of the Library.

We’re not certain when renovations will be completed, but we’re hoping sometime in the late spring .

If you’re looking for a quiet place to study while we’re renovating, try the 2nd Floor — there are large quiet study tables (with electrical outlets nearby), as well as individual study desks around the periphery of the floor.  For groups of 3 or more, there are group study rooms on the Concourse Level of the Library.  These rooms seat up to 6 students comfortably — please see staff at the Circulation Desk to obtain a key.

We apologize for the inconvenience the renovations will cause and thank you for your understanding!  We hope you’ll agree that the temporary disruption was all worthwhile when you see the newly renovated individual and group study rooms, with improved lighting, plenty of power outlets, and new furniture!
