Welcome to Michael Meth, farewell to Julie Hannaford

We are very excited to announce that Michael Meth has joined us as Director of the OISE Library effective January 1st.   Michael was previously the Director of the Li Koon Chun Finance Learning Centre at the University of Toronto, Mississauga campus.  He is an active member of the University of Toronto, including his current role as the Treasurer for the University of Toronto Faculty Association and past participation with the iSchool Alumni Association and the University of Toronto College of Electors, for which he received the Arbor Award.  Michael recently partnered with the Toronto District School Board to develop MoneyApp$, a highly successfully financial literacy workshop aimed at graduating high school students.

We wish our former Director, Julie Hannaford, all the best in her work at the Robarts Library as Associate Librarian, Humanities and Social Sciences. On behalf of the OISE community, we’d like to thank Julie for all of the amazing initiatives and improvements she has brought to the OISE Library in her relatively short time here as Director, including: OISE’s Open Access Policy; the renovation of the Library’s Mezzanine Level study rooms; laptop and iPad loans; the Library FAQ; and new public access computers, photocopiers, and scanners.
