supplies in vending machineHow about some paper?  A USB key?  Some whiteout?  Earphones?   Or maybe some ear plugs?

No need to walk to Grand & Toy to find school supplies – there’s now a supplies vending machine conveniently located on the Concourse (basement) level of the OISE Library.  The machine accepts cash and will accept payments by TCards as well, starting next week.

Please let us know if there are any additional supplies you’d like included in the vending machine – we can speak to our supplier to have these added.

OISE Library Closed Monday October 14th, 2013

The OISE Library will be open Saturday October 12th, from 9am – 5pm, and Sunday October 13th, from 1pm – 6pm.

The Library will be closed Monday October 14th, 2013.

We will reopen Tuesday October 15th at 8:30am.

Happy Thanksgiving!  Enjoy the long weekend!

Scheduled wifi outage Thurs. Oct. 10, 2013

Please be advised that central IT (I+TS) will be performing maintenance on the wireless network in the OISE building on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 7:50AM until 8:20AM.

During the maintenance window wireless “UofT” and “UTORwin” networks will be out of service. Normal wireless internet access service should resume by 8:30AM on Thursday, October 10, 2013.

Notice of upcoming email outage

A necessary upgrade to UTmail+ has been scheduled for October 11 to 13. During this time students and alumni will NOT have access to UTmail+. The service outage will beginon Friday, October 11, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. with service restored on or before Sunday, October 13.  During the outage period, students and alumni using UTmail+ will not be able to access e-mail or use other associated Office Web Apps. For information on the new feature rich service click here,

Please note that only UTmail+ applications are affected. ROSI (Student Web Services), Portal (Blackboard) and other services using Web login are NOT affected by the upgrade. 

SkyDrive Users: With the UTmail+ upgrade to Office365, SkyDrive will be separated into a Personal Microsoft account, which will contain your existing SkyDrive content. We strongly recommend backing up all files you currently have on SkyDrive before the upgrade on October 11, 2013.  Click here for instructions for Downloading SkyDrive contents.

If the upgrade is completed more rapidly, the service will be restored earlier. Details about the outage are available at http://email.utoronto.ca.

iPads unavailable Oct. 3, 8:30am – 12:30pm

The Library’s 3 iPads will not be available the morning of October 3rd as they are being used in a workshop.  They will be available for loan in the afternoon.
