The 2011 Census Teacher’s Kit (call #CR 317.1 C396 2011), published by Statistics Canada, contains activities appropriate for use in elementary, intermediate, and secondary level classrooms. The kit includes 8 activities plus a guide that provides: an explanation of why Canada conducts a census and how census results benefit us all; an introduction to census data as an information source for school papers and projects; an alternative approach to studying mathematics, geography, English, French, and social sciences; and an introduction to data available on the Statistics Canada website.
