Featured New Books!

These newest additions to our library collection are all written by OISE faculty.

“Language in Late Capitalism” (2012), edited by Alexandre Duchêne and OISE’s Monica Heller, is a compilation of essays including “Pride and Profit: Changing Discourses of Language, Capital and Nation-State” which is co-written by Heller. (Call Number: CFO 306.44 L287224)

“Staging Harriet’s House” (2012) by OISE’s Tara Goldstein details the production of Harriet’s House, a play about transnational adoption in a same-sex family.   (Call Number: 812.6 G624S)

“Teacher Learning that Matters: International Perspectives” (2012) is edited by Klaas van Veen and OISE’s Mary Kooy, and includes a number of essays that detail education reform with respect to teacher learning.  (Call Number: 370.711 T25325)

Lastly,“95 Strategies for Remodeling Instruction : Ideas for Incorporating CCSS” (2012) is co-authored by Stephanie Spares, Laura Driscoll, and OISE’s Laura E. Pinto. This book contains numerous strategies on how to enhance lesson plans and to better engage students in the classroom. (Call Number: 375.001 P659n)
