Emily Vandenberg

Emily Vandenberg is a 2nd year graduate student at the University of Toronto, pursuing her Master of Teaching in the primary/junior division. Emily completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Denver, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and captained their varsity swim team. She has attended Olympic Trials, won MVP at her conference championship, and represented Canada in England and Japan. Emily’s passion for equitable education arises from her research on the impact of culturally relevant children’s literature in STEM. Emily one day hopes to teach a French immersion class with inquiry-based pedagogy.
