Yesterday, we attended a thought-provoking lecture by Dr. Spencer Lilley (Te Putahi-a-Toi, School of Māori Art, Knowledge and Education, Massey University, New Zealand) entitled, “From the Dark into the Light: Taking Control of Māori Educational Success.”
The lecture outlined the educational innovations initiated by the Māori that led to successful educational outcomes for Māori people.
